STORM THE SPORO & FIV CAT
UPDATE 12/10/14: Storm is doing really well although he is FIV+ve. He is eating well and loves his cuddles and especially loves being brushed. He still has a secondary infection but otherwise he is doing great... He has even put on a bit more weight... Who would have thought that he once suffered from sporo where he had huge weeping wounds on his nose and ears, and on all his paws... With the right diet, supplements and lots of TLC, nothing is impossible...
*The photos is this blog post were all taken this week.
UPDATE 20/08/14: Storm seems to have recovered from Sporo completely, although we are still keeping a close eye on him to make sure it doesn't come back. While he has improved significantly, and has put on yet another kilo (he's now 5kgs!), we have some bad news.
From the time we got him, he has had a bad nasal sort of infection. And he was always sneezing and a ton of thick yellow mucous would always be coming out of his nose and mouth. He also has a bad lesion on the inside of his mouth which just refuses to get better.
Early this week, we had a blood test done to see if there were any other underlying causes for his infection, and we have not confirmed that he has FIV. And this is probably what is causing his prolonged infections. Please pray that we can somehow help Storm get over this infections so that he can have a better quality of life.
UPDATE 27/06/14: Storm has improved significantly over the past few weeks. His weeping wounds have pretty much dried up and he has put on over 1 kg.
BON BON IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
Bon Bon is a gorgeous black cat with a white chest and white socks, and is looking for his forever home.
If you think that you can give Bon Bon a good home, please SMS or WhatsApp 016 322 8816.
He was very thin and emaciated when he was rescued several months ago. He is now in good health and has a very shiny black coat!
We think he would be the perfect cat for Halloween! :D
He's quite a sweetie and loves being scratched behind the ears. He also loves his scratch posts and could possibly get along with other cats if they are not aggressive...
He is about a year old and will be vaccinated and neutered soon...
Terms and conditions for adoption:
1. He must be given food and clean water.
2. He must not be caged unnecessarily.
3. He must be given lots of love and cuddles.
4. He must be an indoor cat.
5. He must be given medical care if required.
If you think that you can give Bon Bon a good home, please SMS or WhatsApp 016 322 8816.

SNOWIE...
UPDATE03/10/14: Snowie has been adopted.
Snowie was rescued on 10 July 2014 from the main road in Bukit Indah. We found him lying in the middle of the road, completely disoriented, dehydrated and in shock.
No one has claimed him todate, and so he is now available for adoption to a good home. He has been fully vaccinated and has also been neutered.
SIMBA NEEDS A HOME WHERE HE WILL BE LOVED
UPDATE 02/11/14: Simba has been adopted by a lovely family...
*****************************
22/09/14: This is Simba. He was abandoned by his owners when they shifted out of their house. They just threw him out on the streets. The poor boy waited for them to come back for him and refused to move from that road eventhough it was a very busy road.
The neighbours in the area started feeding him and they tried to catch him several times. But he would always evade them. Sometime last week, he was hit by a car and his front leg was injured. Again the people that were feeding him tried to catch him but to no avail.
And then one idiotic and heartless neighbour decided to report him to the council (saying that he was a dangerous dog although he kept to himself and was just waiting for his family) and poor Simba got caught.
The people feeding him called me and asked me to help get him out. Thankfully I managed to claim him back from the council. But Simba was petrified when we went to get him out. He couldn't move. He was frozen with fear. There were lots of other dogs there that had been caught and I know that this is the case with all the council pounds. I wish I could have taken them all, but I couldn't... :(
It took us quite a while to finally get him out but we finally succeeded. We brought him back to my place and it took over an hour before he finally realised that he was safe. He had a good sleep, probably the first time he slept peacefully since he was abandoned.
He will be going to vet today and I would be grateful if one of you could help foster him while he recovers from his injury, and while I look for a new forever home for him. He will not do well being boarded as he is quite a timid dog... We could look after him ourselves but we already have way too many animals...
Please call me if you can help foster this lovely boy. I will take care of all medical expenses and food bills etc. I just need a home environment where he can rest and regain his faith in humans. Or better still, if you can give him a forever home that he deserves, that will be even better.
Please SMS or WhatsApp me at 016 322 8816 if you can either foster or adopt Simba. If you can't, please help share this so that Simba will have a better chance of getting a home.
PS: If you ever lose your dog, please call all the nearby councils and insist that you want to go and check their pounds cause sometimes they will just say that they didn't catch any dogs in a particular area. Your dog could be waiting for you helplessly! And you should check immediately on the day you lost the dog and the subsequent days after that. Cause sometimes they may not be taken to the pound immediately.

IS THIS YOUR DOG? FOUND IN BUKIT INDAH, AMPANG
26/07/14 Folks, this is the little Munchkin that Nicole Lee Suresh and I picked up last night.
SMS 016 335 8768 or 012 790 1252 if this is your dog.
He is a really sweet dog and loves to be cuddled. He walks well on a leash and doesn't pull at all. He also likes playing tug of war with towels and seems to be able to jump really high too...
He seems healthy and his only problem seems to be the fact that he was infested with ticks. We have bathed him and used Bayticol for the ticks already.
Please help share this post so that we can reunite him with his family.
If he is not claimed within a week, we will be putting him up for
adoption.

DANDY IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME
27/06/14 - Dandy is looking for his forever home again. He was adopted over a year ago by a really nice family.
But due to a sudden change in circumstances, they have to move back to the USA. And after weighing all their options, they have decided with a very heavy heart that the harsh winters in Minnesota will not be suitable for Dandy.
Dandy is excellent with children and even cats, loyal and gentle (but with the bark of a guard dog), cheerful and active disposition. He has been neutered and is up-todate on his vaccinations.
His current family will be providing all the items that you may need for Dandy, including his travel crate, a newly built wooden dog house, leashes, food bowls etc. Their only condition is that you must love Dandy as much as they have.
Please SMS or WhatsApp 016 322 8816 if you can give Dandy his forever home.
If you cannot adopt him, please help share this album as much as possible so that we can find Dandy a good home.
The terms & conditions for adoption are:
1. There is no adoption fee, but any donation is greatly welcome.
2. An interview and a home visit will be conducted before the Dandy is released to his new home.
3. He must not be caged or chained unnecessarily.
4. He must be provided with sufficient food, water, exercise, medical care (when necessary) and clean shelter from the heat and rain.
5. We would prefer it if he was kept indoors.
If you are unable to agree to the T&Cs above, please do not contact us.

DAKOTA IS LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME
Please SMS or WhatsApp 016 322 8816 or 012 790 1252 if you can give this sweetie a good and loving home that she deserves.
20/06/14 We picked this little sweetie up late this afternoon.
A friend
had called to say that a puppy had just suddenly turned up in her
housing area all alone.
The neighbours threatened to call DBKL
eventhough she was such a wee pup.
So Nicole Suresh
and I headed over there as soon as we could and picked her up.
We gave
her a quick bath as she had quite a few ticks and thankfully we managed
to get a foster carer for her who will be looking after her until she is
ready for adoption.
We have decided to call her Dakota as she is so friendly, and the name Dakota literally means friend.
She's also
very good with other dogs and got along with the foster carer's dogs
immediately.
We have just dewormed her and she's going for a
check up tomorrow.
She will be vaccinated after a week or two as we need
to make sure that she hasn't got any underlying health problems.
Please SMS or WhatsApp 016 322 8816 or 012 790 1252 if you can give this sweetie a good and loving home that she deserves.

STORM THE SPORO CAT
We finally managed to pick Storm up last Friday night (when it was storming - hence the name Storm) after spotting him a couple of weeks ago. He has several open sores/wounds that are weeping on his face, back of his ear, and feet. He was also coughing and sneezing and expelling alot of thick and horrible mucous.
Our vet confirmed that he had Sporo as well as a secondary bacterial infection, an injured leg, was suffering from dehydration and malnutrition.
We started him on Sporanox and some antibiotics. We also got some Vetri-DMG as recommended by Myza Nordin.
Thankfully, Storm is responding to the treatment and his wounds seem to be drying up although rather slowly. His appetite has improved significantly as well.
We believe that he had a family that decided to abandon him after he got sick. He is a really sweet and affectionate cat and we feel bad that we can't cuddle him. We do pet him as much as we can (albeit with gloves on).
Please pray that he will recover quickly and that we can find him a good home to spend the rest of his days.
