30/05/13 UPDATE: Sadly, Dobby passed away 2 days after her last puppy Little Bear was adopted. It was almost as if she gave up on life after she knew all her puppies were safe in their new homes. 17/04/13 UPDATE: We managed to get Dobby the very next day. 3 of her 4 pups have already been adopted. We have one more very cute girl left! Please call us if you would like to have bouncy puppy!

In the mean time, we will be looking after Dobby to make sure she gains some weight. Once she is ready, she will be up for adoption too. She has a very sweet temperament and will make an excellent companion.

Dobby - the best mother dog ever!

Dobby has been roaming round our housing area for a few weeks. We have been feeding her and she was very friendly. But she would always cart away a hunk of meat instead of eating it all at my place. It looked like she had puppies but although we have followed her on many occasions, we never found them.

Finally we decided that her puppies must either be dead or she had abandoned them. So last Saturday we grabbed Dobby and took her to the vet. She was definitely not producing milk anymore and it didn't look like she had been feeding any puppies for sometime.

Dobby is currently very thin and she has been feeding and looking after her puppies really well

Anyway, Dobby was dewormed, frontlined and put on a course of antibiotics.She was generally okay except that she was severely underweight and had some minor skin problems. 

She was quite happy to be with us that whole afternoon and was great in the car, but that night she was very miserable. She tried her level best to escape to the extent that she was hurting herself. 

 

We decided to let her go on the off chance that her puppies were still somewhere out there. The next morning she appeared at my house as usual for her breakfast. She ate alot and carted a hunk of meat away like she normally does.

And finally today, a neighbour told me that he heard some puppies yapping in the monsoon drain nearby. We headed there this afternoon and true enough Dobby's puppies were there.

We had to go into some rather thick shrubbery and into the drains to get them. The pups are all safe at the moment (and very well fed as they are plump and healthy!) but there was no sign of Dobby anywhere. 

We have been searching for her all afternoon and evening. We will be grabbing Dobby as soon as we see her so that she will be with her pups.

5. The pups will be neutered by us when they are older. Adopters MUST agree to this.

We found this girl at about 4pm on 14 March 2013 at Light Focus, Jalan Maarof, Bangsar. Please help share this as we believe that she is not a stray but is lost. We have called her Brownie for now.

Additionally, we are also looking for a foster carer for Brownie while we try to locate her family. She is approximately 10 years old, has no microchip. She was very stressed, confused and dehydrated when we found her. She is not too thin which means that she must have not been out on her own for too long. Her fur is moulting though and she has very dry skin.

She seems to have cataracts as well. We have done a blood test on her, and she has tested negative for heartworms. Her red cell count is slightly low and her liver readings are slightly elevated.We have dewormed her and started her on some supplements to boost her up while she rests at our vet's clinic for a few days. She will then be moved to a foster carer when she is stronger.
 

Although Brownie is okay, she is definitely missing home. Please help her find her family again. Share this post with as many friends as you can. Someone you know may know who she is and who she belongs to. She will be put up for adoption if she is not claimed in 2 weeks.

Poor Lucky is now back at the vet, but is recovering well. Lucky was rescued by Selena in November 2012. He was found lying in a puddle of muddy water and Selena just could not leave him there.

The vet suspected that he was probably hit by a car as his hips were dislocated and he had a fracture in his spine. Lucky requires cage rest for several months so that his bones will heal properly.

Selena is unable to care for Lucky in the long term as she already has 4 dogs, and they do not like Lucky.

Lucky is a really sweet dog and will make a good companion. For the time being Lucky needs the following medical care until he is fit again:

1. To be carried to grassy area to poo once or twice a day, as he cannot walk too much
2. To be fed antibiotics twice a day, for the wound on his paw
3. To clean his wound on his paw once a day, with antibacterial powder and then bandaged
4. To have an e-collar on him to prevent him from licking and biting the wound on his paw

Lucas and Lea are looking for their forever homes. They were rescued from a horrible situation - they were spotted tied to a tree on very short chains for over a week. Lucas could not even lie down. They had no shelter or food and were severely malnourished.

They are now being cared for by a foster carer and are ready to go to their new homes. They have already been vaccinated and neutered; and have tested negative for heartworms.

Bobo has been missing from his home in Serendah since June this year. His family is missing him very much and would appreciate it if everyone can be on the look out for Bobo. They have been looking for him ever since he has been missing and have even gone to the local pounds etc regularly to check if he's there. Please help spread the word to bring Bobo home.

Here's the mesage that we received from Bobo's family:

Dear Natasha,

My name is Patrick Adam our dog was lost/stolen in front of our house in June this year. We think he is stolen as he was very well trained and Bobo NEVER walked away.

We adopted Bobo when his former owner saw how good we are to our dog Pamela, and he asked if we want to have Bobo. They left him outside the house in a very small bench. He was not used to walk just stay 24/7 in a bench. 

As he had a terrible abusive first part of his life before we adopt him. He knew he had a good and free home. As he was able to go in and out the house freely. He never been more then 10-20meters from me as he was always thankful.

We kept all options in our mind what could have been happened with Bobo. Honestly spoken he was a very well trained dog and walking away from our house is a bit difficult as we life on top of a hill with just one road to it. There have been rumors that more dogs has been stolen in the Rawang area. I keep it open and we follow all options just to get him back.


If Bobo has been taken by dog catchers I honestly think they took it by purpose as people all know that Bobo is our dog. The TNB, Syabas, Police also people like the waste collectors all said to me they could not believe Bobo run away or lost as they said although they called him he never left the property. He always stopped at the boundary of my land. We really teached him to stay inside as he knows when he steps over the boundary he get no treat before he goes to bed.

Bobo sleeps inside the house. He went always after our meal like breakfast, lunch and diner outside for a walk around the garden. As I said he was very happy being with us. This is because Bobo knows very well how it is to be in a house where they do not care about dogs.
 
Every day he put his head on our bed and look at us to say thank you. We never asked for it he just gave it to us. And yes he was naughty he sometimes climbed on our bed and lay next to us. Although it was forbidden it is also nice to hug your dog if he is so lovely.

When it was diner time he very social he always ran to my mum to say thank you. Again we did not asked for it he just wanted to show us how happy he was.

We have an other dog she also missed Bobo a lot it is difficult to explain to her Bobo is lost as they got very attached to each other.


We have been since traveling around Selangor to find him as he is our child. We have been almost in every corner of the state to find him.

We been to the dog pounds and we been very social and low profile. But the language is mostly a big problem. We are expat so we need to talk with hand and feets. Mostly they do not understand we come again and again they mostly say to me "if you like take an other one" or "why do you not buy an other dog". As people also not change their children we are not changing dogs it feel very sad when people say that to us.

BOB THE CAT NEEDS A HOME

Mervyn Lee picked up this injured male cat on the way home from work. Poor fella had sustained injuries believed to be from a hit and run. He was found curled up against a tree trunk. The vet says he's got a broken jaw, and will take the necessary actions to treat him to get him back into shape. 

Mervyn has since named him Bob, seeing he's a tough survivor.
