DOG FOUND IN BUKIT INDAH, AMPANG

UPDATE NOV 2013 : Midnight has been adopted by her foster carer who couldn't bear to give her up. She is now spoilt rotten and has a "sister" to boot
******************************

If this is your dog, please call 016 335 8768 to claim her. She is missing home and is very quiet. If this isn't your dog, please help share this information so that we can reunite her with her family asap.

********************
20/11/13 Found this girl stuck inside a 5 foot deep drain while walking the kids this morning. She was looking very weak and exhausted. So told her to stay there, raced the kids back and got Nicole Lee Suresh to come with me to get her out.

We weren't sure if she would bite, but luckily she didn't. Carried her out and she was very weak and was also probably in shock. She couldn't even stand.

Then a lady came down from the apartments across the road and told us that she had fallen in yesterday. She had put in some bags of leaves and grass (swept by MPAJ) to try and get her to get out, but she just lay on top of the bags and refused to climb out. So the lady fed her yesterday and had come to feed her again today. She was very worried cause no one she knew would help her.

Anyway, we have taken her to the vet, and he has discovered that she has recent trauma to her right eye - some internal bleeding. She doesn't seem to have any broken bones but he is worried that there may be some internal damage. So we have taken a blood sample to check and he has given her some meds to support her internal organs while waiting for the results.

Her fur is very dirty although not obvious in the pictures and she also has skin issues. But otherwise she seems reasonably well taken care of.

If this is your dog, please call 016 335 8768 to claim her. She is missing home and is very quiet. If this isn't your dog, please help share this information so that we can reunite her with her family asap.

STOP BARBARIC DOG CATCHING METHODS

MIAR has highlighted yet another terrible case of animal abuse and torture. This has been going on for far too long. All of us need to stand up and make a difference. Speak for the voiceless...

Strays dogs and cats have always been an issue in the country for as long as I can remember. And while I firmly believe that there is a need to control the stray population (via humane methods), our local authorities seem to have no qualms in employing the most cruel methods of "controlling" the stray population. These methods involve catching the stray animals and killing them in the most barbaric way possible without even flinching.
We have seen countless cases of cruelty inflicted on these helpless animals by the local councils, and yet no action is ever taken against these people. In fact the authorities seem to condone beating, strangling and starving these poor animals on the pretext that these poor dogs would bite someone and that they are just doing their job.
Anyone will tell you that the likelihood of a stray dog biting a person is much lower than being mugged or attacked by a human. Dogs will usually only attack if they are provoked, cornered and have no choice.
At the same time, the very fact that the government and the local authorities are turning a blind eye and even encouraging these acts of cruelty by the barbaric people that they employ, goes to show that they have little understanding of the correlation between cruelty to animals and humans. Many studies have shown that those that torture animals usually go on to torturing humans. Is this the kind of society that we would like to cultivate?

Additionally, we have laws against animal cruelty (albeit a rather pathetic one), and I would like to know why are these people not subject to the same laws. Why are they not charged and brought to justice? Why ARE THEY ABOVE THE LAW?
If the increase in stray population is really a concern, the authorities should work together with the many established animal welfare organisations to promote spaying and neutering of pets, as well as strays. These methods have been proven to be more effective at controlling and reducing the stray animal population in the long run.
The government is constantly trying to promote the country as one that is a warm, friendly and caring nation. But by condoning and even encouraging these acts of cruelty towards these defenceless animals, I think that the government has failed the country and its people.

ADORABLE FUR-KIDS LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME

These gorgeous fur-kids are looking for their forever home....

Foxy is now ready to go to her forever home...
All Foxy's puppies have now been adopted, and so Foxy is now available for adoption herself. We will be neutering Foxy soon. She's about 1-2 years old.

Foxy is a very sweet girl although a bit nervous and shy when she first meets you. She will need a family that loves her to bring out the fabulous dog that she is. She has shown to be loyal and faithful as she refused to leave her puppies eventhough she was exhausted, tired and hungry. For Foxy's story, click here...

Please give SMS 016 335 8768 if you think you can give Foxy the loving family that she deserves.

Fuji & Nikon were rescued from a back lane in Taman Bukit Ampang along with another sibling that has recently been adopted. They were constantly chased away by the residents there, eventhough all they wanted was just some food and shelter.

Fuji & Nikon are still a little shy and nervous around strangers but all they need is a little love to bring out the fabulous dogs that are within them. Do you have room in your heart for a sweet puppy?
Please SMS 016 335 8768 if you would like to adopt Fuji or Nikon...

***************************************

The term & conditions for adoption are:

1. There is no adoption fee, but any donation is greatly welcome to defray the costs of deworming, vaccination, neutering and other medical costs.
2. An interview and a home visit will be conducted before the they dogs released to their new home.
3. They should not be caged or chained for long periods of time.
4. They must be provided with sufficient food, water, exercise, medical care (when necessary) and clean shelter from the heat and rain.
5. They MUST be treated as part of the family and be given lots of love.

6. They MUST be neutered by 6 months of age. Foxy will be neutered before being released for adoption

BRING BAMBI HOME...

24/09/13 UPDATE: Bambi is home!!! Thank you everyone for your prayers and for sharing this information.
******************************

Bambi is my former neighbours' beloved dog. Bambi has been missing since last Sunday 15/9 from Ampang Jaya.

He was last spotted on Jalan Rasmi on Sunday 15/9... If anyone has seen him or has any information about him please call me or Leena, or leave a message on this group.

Natasha 016 335 8768
Leena 016 687 6210

He is a friendly and approachable dog, but as he has been out for almost a week now, he may be tired and disoriented. He may not respond to you calling him and may run away. Please keep an eye out for him.

His family has been searching high and low for him, and I have been keeping my eyes peeled for him too... They have called SPCA and MPAJ several times to check but to no avail... We all miss him...

Dogs can travel really far from home especially if they are scared... So even if you think he can't be in your area, please just keep a lookout...

Please, please help bring Bambi home by sharing this with as many friends as you can. Someone may have seen him or taken him in. Someone you know may have information about Bambi that could help bring him home.

BRING WILLY HOME

Have you seen Willy? He was stolen from his owners home, and his owners are deperately looking for him. Please contact Penny at 012-3809048 or email chongfpp@yahoo.com if you have any information about Willy.

*******************************************************

Hi there,

Need your help. Please can you help to reach out to animal rescuers groups and dog lovers to find Willy my wire fox terrier that was adopted by Kenny.

Kenny's house got broken into and the only thing the burglars stole was the dog. This is the 2nd time that his house was broken into and his dogs stolen. The 1st time the burglars stole his Yorkie and Poodle. Since his dogs were stolen I gave Willy to him.

I told him to report to Police but don't have faith in the cops as they can't even look after the humans. Also told him to approach STAR and NST for assistance.

You can ask people with leads to contact me at 012-3809048 or email chongfpp@yahoo.com.

Here is a picture of Willy. He has been neutered and I wouldn't want Willy to end up in puppy farmers' soup pot as they cant breed out of him.

Thanks for your help,
Penny
